The EVOC 104-4COM connector card provides four RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial ports. Each connector is configured with one 16C550 UART chip, which is designed with 16-byte FIFO buffer to realize high-speed serial I/O. UART will buffer data into 16-byte data packet before placing the data in bus.The above features reduce CPU load, which can avoid data loss while the system is too busy to process interrupts in Windows high-speed serial I/O applications.
104-4COM is configured with RS-485 network with automatically data-flow controller. The card can automatically detect the direction of data flow and correspondingly change its direction under RS-485 mode.
This feature makes it looks like a RS-232 network. The software programmed for semi-duplex RS-232 is available without any modification.
